Questions about Webhooks

How do I verify the webhook signature?

Each request contains an X-Consenta-Signature header with an HMAC-SHA256 hash. Compute the HMAC-SHA256 of the request body server-side using your secret key and compare the values.

Which events are supported?

Consenta supports five event types: consent.new (new consent), consent.update (updated consent), consent.revoke (revoked consent), consent.optout (opt-out) and webhook.test (test request from the admin).

Does the webhook affect my site performance?

No. Webhooks are sent non-blocking via wp_remote_post with blocking:false. The page is not delayed for the visitor even if your endpoint responds slowly.

Can I configure multiple webhook URLs?

Yes. You can enter multiple HTTPS endpoints. On every consent event all configured URLs are notified simultaneously.
