Yes. IP-based geolocation has an accuracy of over 99% at country level. VPN users are assigned to the VPN location.

What happens with VPN users?

VPN users are assigned to the VPN server location. If someone uses an EU VPN server, they see the consent dialog.

Does geolocation slow down my website?

No. Detection takes place server-side and results are cached. The impact on loading time is not measurable.

Can I also show the dialog to US visitors?
