The content blocker works reliably and prevents embedded content (e.g. YouTube videos or Google Maps) from loading without consent. The WordPress integration is deep, consent logging meets GDPR requirements and the interface is intuitive. For simple websites with few standard services, Real Cookie Banner is a viable choice.

However, the plugin reaches its limits as requirements grow.
